2. Shardul Thakur
The Chennai Super Kings’ all-rounder, ‘Lord’ Shardul Thakur had a tough start during the first half of the IPL 2021. He was unable to find his bowling rhythm and was found lost giving away plenty of unwanted runs.
However, after a successful Test match against England, he exhibited a completely different version in the second phase of IPL 2021 at UAE.
At the end of this season, Thakur was added in the top wicket-takers list picking up 21 wickets in 16 games with a strike rate of 17.09. During the final match against KKR, he scalped 3 important wickets which paved the way to a terrific start to the chase.
Without any doubt, CSK will retain Thala Dhoni (captain), Ravindra Jadeja(all-rounder), and Ruturaj Gaikwad (opening batsman). The fourth spot is open and might be taken by Moeen Ali or Sam Curran. Chances are high for Thakur to be in the auction this year.
