In the first innings of the third match against Durham, he went out for a duck. In the second innings, he departed scoring just 8 runs.

However, this batsman has also been selected for the five-match test series against England. Having an average of 32.84, he has scored 624 runs in 12 Test matches and has hit four centuries.
