Indian opening batsman,Murali Vijay will not be a part of the upcoming Syed Mustaq Ali trophy. The reason for his non-participation has been revealed that the player has refused to take vaccination for Covid-19. However, this International cricketer isn’t interested in going through the bio-bubble process. The BCCI has come up with few procedures for operation. According to those protocols, every state association must obey the rules imposed.
One of the rules states that every player must mandatorily go through the bubble for a week before the tournament commences and players must abide the bubble life as long as they are featured in the game. Murali Vijay was least bothered about these rules and that’s the reason why he wasn’t considered by the Tamil Nadu selection committee.
It was revealed that the selectors of Tamil Nadu never uttered a word about Murali Vijay for selection. Even if he had been vaccinated, his chances of being selected in playing Xl was very less. Vijay must prove his metal by being fit.
“It is his personal decision. He is hesitant to take the vaccine. The BCCI SOPs say that a player needs to be inside the bubble for a week before a tournament starts and then as long as he is with the team. But Vijay is not keen on it. So the Tamil Nadu selectors haven’t considered him for selection,” a close source revealed.

“The selectors have not even discussed him in the selection meeting and he didn’t even make it to the Tamil Nadu list of probables picked before the domestic season. So even if he is ready to take the vaccine and wants to make a comeback, it will be a long road for him because he won’t be picked immediately. He has to prove his fitness and needs to have a few matches under his belt to be selected for Tamil Nadu again,” the source concluded.
