WWE Superstar Kurt Angle had a conversation of possibly being in the storyline with Gable Stevenson and managing him in the upcoming days. Stevenson drew few comparisons with Angle since both shared a similar career trajectory as the multi-time world champion. The RAW star has cracked an achievement of winning a gold medal in the Olympics and then was introduced to WWE, which was much likely the story of Angle 20 years ago.
During a Q&A session, Kurt Angle was questioned by a fan if he would consider getting back inside the ring just to face Gable Stevenson in a ‘Gold Medal versus Gold Medal’ game. This WWE legend replied that he will do it and has also opened about managing Stevenson in the near future.
“If I could do it, I would. I just think I can. Being out of wrestling the past few years, especially during the pandemic, I had a lot of physical problems. A lot of problems that I had from not doing anything.”
“There’s an idea for me managing him and him turning on me, eventually. I don’t know if they’re going to give me a call sometime soon, but he still has some training to do. He’s got to get prepared before he gets on TV,” said Angle.
Angle felt that the pandemic hit him both mentally and physically. However, he put his heart and soul to get back to form. In the WWE events that took place in recent months, Steveson made few sporadic appearances but didn’t get to play matches. In September, this 21 year-old signed a contract with the company and made sure it was drafted to the RAW brand that took place during the WWE Draft in 2021.
Few reports reveal that this Olympic gold medalist would definitely make a debut appearance this year at WrestleMania. Stevenson was found alongside the ring at WWE’s day 1 pay-per-view and few photographs of him with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar have been going on rounds in social media.
