Life Between wickets

Humongous Six by Yashasvi Jaiswal – Straight Out of the Park

2 min read

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been in phenomenal form lately. He has become the new scoring machine for his team. Last game Jaiswal scored 82 runs in just 79 balls. For the first ODI game, the Mumbai team traveled to Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman.

Winning the toss, the visitors chose to bowl first. The Mumbai team wanted to build pressure for the Oman team as the game started off in the morning as Oman was batting.

It was quite evident with the constant fall of wickets that the hosts were comfortable with the game. The opening batsman, Khawar Ali played well with 52 runs off 73 balls.

Except Khalid Kail, the middle over batsmen was an utter failure. He scored 76 runs in 85 balls that helped his team to reach a total of 196 runs. The whole team was washed out in the 48th over. The Mumbai team came into the pitch with confidence and felt the total was approachable. Though this team lost wickets at the early stage, Yashavi Jaiswal was moving forward with the bat.

The team sailed through the hardship due to the partnership of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Hardik Tamore. They won the game eventually in the 44th over after their quick chase of 197 runs.

The Star Player of the Game – Yashasvi Jaiswal

Jaiswal was the only consistent player of the match between Mumbai and Oman. His crucial knock of 82 runs off 79 balls that included five boundaries and five sixes was the main reason for the team’s victory.

Hardik Tamore lended his supporting hands by scoring 51 runs in 70 balls which released the pressure and led to the winning runs. However, the highlight of the game was the huge six of Jaiswal Yashasvi. This 19-year old hit a stupendous six that went out of the park.

Jaiswal aced the timing and perfection as he shot a thunderous hit. Well, this is certainly welcoming news for the Rajasthan Royals as the young lad is an integral part of the squad. Since the pitch in Oman is quite similar to that of UAE, RR might have chances of having a strong batting side led by Jaiswal.

Batting in Middle Eastern countries is not an easy task. One needs more power to deliver boundaries and sixes. Jaiswal has been an example to other batsmen and has proved his capability to deliver such monstrous sixes at this pitch.
