Fan takes a Cheeky Dig at Wasim Jaffer on Twitter – His Classy Reply

The former Indian opener, Wasim Jaffer is a well-known figure on Twitter. His timely memes have a separate fan base. He often comes up with funny memes and tweets.

He is rightly called the “meme king” and this name will suit him well. This name has been trending in the Twitter platform. Jaffer has been keenly noticing the Indian cricket team and also comes up with suggestions in their game play.

There were at times when foreign cricketers like Michael Vaughan and Brad Hogg tried dirty sledging at Team India. Jaffer brought the channel of peace through his hilarious memes and tweets. After the Adelaide debacle, Ricky Ponting and Brad Hogg predicted that India would never rise back.

Tim Paine also mocked Ravichandran Ashwin on the third day of the Test series at Sydney saying, “Can’t wait to see you at the Gabba Ash.” The Australian team was over confident that they would destroy India as they haven’t lost a test match since 1988. However, after a 32 year haul, team India finally won at the Gabba.

Ajinkya Rahane and his squad breached the myth and defeated the dominant streak of Australia. They won by 3 wickets and marked their most awaited victory on the Australian soil after 32 years.

Wasim Jaffer took the happiness to Twitter and put troll memes for Australia, “So, what’s gonna be the excuse this time? Pointing, McGrath, and Warne weren’t playing? Winking face with tongue.” This tweet became viral in no time.

Most of the cricket fans are enjoying the tweets by Jaffer while few others throw hatred. One such fan tried to take a cheeky dig at the former Indian team opener asking how many test fixtures he had represented India.

A fan posted, “@WasimJaffer14 How many tests you played for India ? have you ever think.” Jaffer could have opted to ignore the comment but he chooses to give a smart reply. His reply became famous overnight on Twitter and many fans were awestruck.

Jaffer replied, “I might have played just 31 tests my friend, but when I see the Indian team play I feel like I’m playing with them. And I’m sure a billion+ people feel the same.”

Wasim Jaffer has scored 1944 runs in Tests with five massive centuries, eleven half centuries, and two double centuries and holds a batting average of 34.11. He holds a record of becoming the highest run-scorer in the Ranji Trophy championship.

The 42-year old has a score record of more than 12,000 runs and is considered as an icon in Indian domestic cricket. In his second game of first class fixture, he had scored a remarkable triple century. He exhibited his excellence in a test match against West Indies and embarked his best of 212 runs.

In March 2020, the right-handed batsman retired from domestic cricket. He started a new chapter as the batting coach of the Bangladesh National cricket team.  In June 2020, the veteran was assigned as the Uttarakhand coach for the 2020-2021 domestic season.
