Avesh Khan Joins Indian Cricket Team for T20 World Cup 2021 as Net Bowler

One of the greatest finds of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2021 is Avesh Khan. The Delhi Capitals fast bowler has played a substantial role in taking crucial wickets at the most critical moments of the game. This 24-year-old cricketer has been part of the Delhi Capitals family in the IPL and has been featured in all 15 games played by DC this season.

This cricketer has been in the limelight after his terrific performance in this IPL season banging 23 wickets in his name. One would have never expected this player to reach great heights in the very first IPL tournament he played for DC.

Avesh was consistent throughout this season maintaining an average of 18.60 and an economy rate of 7.50. He is talented to move the ball in both ways which many bowlers fail to exhibit.

His short balls are mean usually as they deceive the batsmen. Avesh started his first-class debut in the year 2014. He has also represented India in the ICC Under 19 World Cup in 2016.

Earlier, he played his debut IPL tournament for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2017. He featured in just one game and picked up a wicket. However, he eventually moved to Delhi Capitals and they retained this player in the DC squad of 2021.

New Net Bowler for Indian Cricket Team

As the T20 World Cup 2021 is about to commence in a few days, the Madhya Pradesh fast bowler has been added as the net bowler for the Indian team. This young bowler is the second fast bowler in the world ranking after Umran Malik from Kashmir. Avesh Khan has been requested to join the Indian team at the UAE.

“The national selectors have decided to also include Avesh in the mix. As of now, he will be a net bowler but if the team management feels he can be upgraded,” BCCI reported this to the national selection committee. Hoping that Avesh gets a chance to play the World Cup T20 for India.
