In November 2012, Roman Reigns made his main roster debut with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. The trio had been working for WWE as members of FCW for a number of years prior to their debut, when Reigns and Rollins were promoted to NXT.
Over the last decade, The Shield has been one of the company’s most talked-about stables, but Reigns’ relationship with Rollins and Ambrose prior to The Shield hasn’t been well chronicled.
While Reigns was known as Leakee, the trio worked together in FCW. The current Universal Champion teamed up with and worked against his future partners 15 times during their tenure in WWE’s developmental system.
Roman Reigns did not lost a single match during the whole tournament. Because he has subsequently gone on to beat his old allies multiple times over the years and become the company’s top star following The Shield’s split, this run in FCW might have predicted the Tribal Chiefs’ future in WWE.
