India cricket team’s sponsor started a new chain of retail outlets in 2012, and Sachin was shown in their advertisements to promote their brand. The message of this advertisement was that when people shop elsewhere other than their stores, the product might be adulterated. For this, Sachin was shown circulating a funeral stage before lighting it. This advertisement was also asked to be removed by BCCI and did not do well among the masses.
